Harrells reloading equipment
Just curious..... Anyone here use these?
They look really nicely made. Turret style, single & combo I have also been told their powder measures are like jewelry Micrometer clicks so precise you can count & use next time for the exact same charge each time. Does look nice & I was getting ready to get some RCBS stuff to replace my 4x4 I first saw the Turret press on Glen Zedikers handloading book ( Super nice & knowledgeable guy ) http://www.zediker.com/books/handloa...over170new.jpg Just curious anyone use these presses? |
Re: Harrells reloading equipment
Would depend on how much competition you shoot or how much of a perfectionist you are. I like Redding dies and have plans to buy the T-7 Redding turret press, but for now I use a single stage for rifle and a Lee turret for pistol.
Sorry, I've no experience with Harrells reloading equipment, but it looks like good quality stuff. Maybe I'll reconsider myself. |
Re: Harrells reloading equipment
Yeah not so much comp these days but I appreciate well made equipment. That is just a turret not progressive but supposed to be very well made with no slop or play. Also you can get extra disc & leave your dies in place if you do multi calibers.
The powder measure just has a really nice barrel / micrometer which would be nice. Although I will admit that even the uniflow from RCBS didn't have much drift either. |
Re: Harrells reloading equipment
I bought the barrel micrometer set for my RCBS powder measure and have yet to install it. There is actually two to the set. The T-7 Redding is a turret not a progressive press. Like it because I can have up to 2 pistol or 3 rifle die sets plus the powder measure or a universal decapper in the seventh hole without changing the turret plate.

Re: Harrells reloading equipment
Thats cool I did not know they sold the barrel's alone
Also I just took a look at Midway the Redding T-7 you mentioned. That looks good too. Good Idea having so many set up without even having to change the plates. Thanks for the tips making my decision a bit harder as I also looked at the RCBS Turret too. I liked the 4x4 I had but I am thinking Turret this time. Less going on at once & still faster than a single without having to change dies. |
